Morning Guys,
Been working with a great TAC engineer "Itay" on resolving some pretty serious issues I've faced with the 2000 series spark appliances.
After some work with Itay and testing a private build, my specific installation has been rock solid for nearly a month now. I did also point out some minor issues which I believe have also been addresses in to the new build release.
R82.00.10 Build 998002203
https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk184357
Hopefully this will address a number of issues for the community, and if not please ensure a TAC case is raised..the guys in TAC will help to resolve the issues.
Note that this release also includes some security fixes: https://blog.checkpoint.com/security/check-point-frontier-ai-models-readiness-program-security-updat...
I believe these are also included in the R82 JHFA103, just released.
Yes, they should be.
Hello , you test in cluster 2000? I have problem with cluster 1900, one of the problems was that it didn't swing from one node to another, and the second problem was that it randomly crashed after a few dozen hours, it's about 20 clusters, model 1900 ,thank you !
One of the issues I had is the active node would basically just hang from a inband management view (I've already suggested to Checkpoint TAC that the designs of the Spark appliances should have include LOM option, considering these are designed to be in remote offices), and not fail-over, so it sounds similar to what you experienced.
Clearly I can only comments on my experience, but the private build I had seemed to do the job. I've now installed the GA build.
Hi Daniel,
If the cluster failover issue is not resolved after upgrading to latest build then please issue support ticket and send me its number so I can work with you on the resolution.
Thanks.
Hi Daniel,
Yes, we tested it on 2000 devices and 1900 devices as well.
Please upgrade to the latest GA version and check again. If the issue still occurs after the upgrade, please contact me at

Thanks for sharing the feedback! And yes, I agree I enjoy working with Itay as well 😉
It's a good reference to consider migrating our customers gateway from R81.10.X to R82.
Is is just me that the WEBUI responsiveness has improved in Build 2203? 😀
Hey Tom,
Thank you, man, it's highly appreciated!
Hi Sir,
Thank you very much for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
I'm always happy to help! 😊
