SMB Appliance 1800 to Smart-1 Cloud
I have an Appliance 1800 currently in Production and I need to register it to Smart-1 Cloud with any outage.
How can i transfer all the configurations from the Appliance to the Smart-1 Cloud in a backup and restore procedure or may be any other way possible as well as in a faster way, so that when i add the gateway to the Smart-1 Cloud i may not face any outages?
PS: However doing that manually whereby configuring Smart-1 Cloud object by object will take a lot of time.
Thanks in advance.

I’m not aware of a way to transfer the local Security Policy configuration of an SMB appliance to a Smart-1 (Cloud or Appliance).
Theoretically it should be possible to translate the “show configuration” output into API calls, but not aware of any existing scripts for this.

Thanks, does this mean that in order to transfer the configuration and policies on to Smart-1 Cloud, I will need to transfer the configs manually, i.e configuring the Smart-1 Cloud just as the Appliance was configured?

As I said, there isn’t an automated tool I am aware of to convert a locally managed SMB appliance to a centrally managed one.
That means you’d have to recreate the configuration manually in Smart-1 Cloud.

This is all covered in Quantum Spark 1500, 1600 and 1800 Appliance Series R80.20.30 Centrally Managed Administration Guide
