Hello Team,
This is ideal for a new implementation but how do we migrate all existing objects, rules, etc to MaaS. Is there any migration procedure and support for this?
I am sure there are many users with the same situation.
Thanks.
Hi
Actually you would need to export your mgmt database with the migrate command.
Upload your mgmt db to Check Point and they will import your db into Smart1-Cloud.
You now need to link your on-premise and cloud iaas gateways to the new mgmt server vian MaaS service which is basically a tunnel.
Establish SIC and boom you are up and running.
From that time one you don't need your on-premise gw mgmt server running any longer. it is now in the cloud 24/7.
Check Point are backing up and taking care of your mgmt server.
Just to add on-top of Kim's answer.
Under Settings, you have the migration tools, you need to download them to your Management Server, run the export and upload it to the portal.
and for connecting the gateway(s), under Connect Gateways, in the register a gateway, you have the option to connect to an existing gateway.
Anat.
