what client routing table looks with split tunnel turned on

Hello experts

 

I am still quite new regarding checkpoint firewall and VPN. Currently I am working on some application issue and trying to figure out how the route shall be with checkpooint IPSEC VPN connect to corp site and split tunnel turned on.

 

My laptop routing table looks like after connecting IPSEC VPN to checkpoint security gateway.

Active Routes:

Network Destination        Netmask          Gateway       Interface  Metric

          0.0.0.0          0.0.0.0      192.168.1.1      192.168.1.6     45

        10.16.0.0      255.252.0.0    10.121.230.107    10.121.230.108      1

192.168.1.1 is my local gateway

10.121.230.107 is my vpn tunnel peer and 10.121.230.108 is VPN tunnel IP.

 

Does it means all traffic go to my local default gateway except 10.16.0.0?

 

Many Thanks if anyone can help me clarify it.

Correct, only 10.16.0.0/14 traffic will be sent to the VPN.
Other traffic will use the default route.
