sk183512

Hi all,

In its current form, sk183512 is not clear. In the first part, it says that affected gateways are those using Threat Extraction, but not using IPS. It leads to believe that gateways already running both TEX and IPS are not affected.

However, when it comes to fixing the issue (without installing JHF), it says that IPS has to be enabled with one of the default profiles. So, what about gateways that are already running with TEX and IPS, but not using default profiles? Are they affected? Based on Symptoms paragraph, they are not, but Solution implies that IPS profile has to be switched to one of the defaults.

Do customers have to use one of the default profiles if TEX is enabled?

One of my customers has a private hotfix, so installing JHF cannot be done until private hotfix is integrated into JHF.

Thank you

Got in touch with TAC, they checked the environment and confirmed that only one TE appliance needs hotfix. But generally, the answer is  "it depends", so the best course of action is to check with TAC.

Hvala Andy 🙂

I saw an email about it...Honestly, if I were you, would confirm with TAC.
