VLAN trunk in vsnext
I'm playing a bit with vsnext. In VSX it is possible to assign a physical interface to VS0 and mark it as an interface for VLAN trunking. This interface could then be used in multiple virtual systems to create VLANs.
I can't figure out if this is possible with vsnext. It seems that the physical interface can only be assigned to one virtual gateway and that it's only possible to create additional VLANs on the virtual gateway that holds the physical interface.
Is this a limitation on vsnext compared to VSX?

Hi @Niels_van_Sluis ,
In VSNext if you want to share vlans of physical interface between VSs, the steps are:
Attach physical interface to VS0, Create vlans on VS 0, detach the vlans from vs0 and attach to them to relevant VSs.
The plan is to ease this in JHF so you will not have to attach & detach from VS 0. you will just create vlans on the physical and attach to VS ( or initially create the new vs with it).

Shai

Hi Emmap,
Thanks! Yes the VLAN interfaces are up. But I forgot to give them IP-adresses in the GAiA-portal. With valid IP-adresses assigned, they also show up when using 'Get Interfaces'. So it's working now. My bad.

Hi @ShaiF,
Thanks! It works.
However the VLAN interfaces are not found when using 'Get Interfaces' in the 'Network Mangement' section in SmartConsole. Only the wrp interface is found. I had to add the VLAN interfaces manually.

Niels
