Upgrade Network Card from 1 Gb to 10 Gb
Hello Mates.,
We have a customer who is interested in upgrading their NIC card from 1Gb to 10Gb on an open server gateway, specifically the Dell PowerEdge R740. Could you kindly provide me with instructions on how to identify a compatible model for the Gaia OS? I've already checked the GAiA and Secure Platform Hardware Compatibility List website at https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/hcl/ and came across the following model: https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/hcl/poweredge-r740/ However, it appears that only the onboard NIC is listed on this site. As far as I understand, this is the built-in card and is not be replaceable. Would greatly appreciate your recommendations on how to determine the compatibility list for NICs and the Gaia OS.
The currently listed NIC is: Gigabit 4P I350-t rNDC.
Thanks

On the HCL page choose add-ons and vendor Dell. Are any of those available to you for the R740?
Please also consult your local SE who can further validate the same with solution center etc.

Yes I found it, thank you. What you mean with local SE? I did not get it exactly.
