Traffic limits on 40G interfaces
Hi Mates,
another strange problem here: Got a 23900 cluster running R81.10 with latest Jumbo. Customer reports, that SMB connections don't exceed 300-400 Mbit, sometimes dropping to 200Kbps.
Can't see significant receive queue drops or spikes, SND cores do not have significant load. Policy is about 400 rules with IPS and AV on. Inspection is also on but not for this specific connection.
Any idea that might be the problem here? Are there any configurable traffic limits per core?
Best regards
Michael

Can you share a little on what performance optimization or tuning you've already implemented if any in an attempt to improve the situation?
E.g. Are Jumbo frames used and does the 40Gb card have the latest firmware per: sk141812
