SNMPv3 failing to collect data from R80.10 Jumbo 112 and above
We are running into some problems with SNMPv3 while trying to add gateways to our monitoring systems, CheckMK and Spectrum. On both systems we cannot get the systems added, when we deliberately use a wrong password it will tell you the pw is wrong.
With tcpdump you see a request coming in, 1 reply and then more requests coming but no more responses.
Anybody else seeing this behaviour?

Did it work with older JHFs?

Yeah, I have a number of gateways without any Jumbo on it that work just fine. On Jumbo 103 I need to check. But that will be something for tomorrow.

It was a VSX system, and the problem we found was that after installing the last Jumbo, the proper message came back, not authorized.
Whit a VSX machine you need to set the authorisation for the VS'es per user.
The dafault is Not Authorized. You need to set the access:
set snmp usm user admin vsid all
