Routing check/tip when moving config from one fw to another

Hey guys,

Im sure most of you know this, but in case someone did not, figure would mention it, so you dont think you did something wrong. Had customer copy config from clish from existing to new fws they got and they called me in panic thinking they did it totally wrong, since route was only showing for interface that was connected.

Though web UI showed all routes, clish did not, but thats since all other interfaces were not even plugged in, so show route all command from clish, as well as route from expert would ONLY show routes for connected interface.

Just in case anyone else may wonder : - )

That makes sense since the kernel will reject those routes as they aren't valid if the relevant interface isn't active.

You would be surprised if you knew how many people asked me about this...seems it might not be as obvious. But hey, as they say, anything is easy once you know it 🙂
