Hey guys,
Just wondering if this is even possible, as I dont deal much with these SMB appliances too often. Is it even possible to restore the config from 1100 into 1500 appliance? Not sure what new 1500 is running, but I believe 1100 is on R77.20.80 (latest firmware). If not, what if you were to generate show configuration on 1100 and then try copy that over to new 1500?
Any suggestions/ideas welcomed and appreciated : )
Cheers.
You can backup the 1100 and restore to a 1400, which you can backup and restore to a 1500.

My colleague and I ended up configuring 1530 from scratch and already latest firmware was installed (R80.20.15). We just licensed it from user center and also assigned same IP addresses and DHCP scope as current 1100, so they just need to be swapped and thats it. Thanks again for all the help as always!
Retried it from 1120 to 1530 directly and it works!

Thanks D. Would copying show config method work from 1100 to 1500?
I suspect not, but haven't tried it myself.
As i wrote in Configuration transfer between different SMB model... , this may work, but needs manual corrections. I would suggest to do the FTW, interface definitions and other simple tasks before using parts of the output file to reconstruct e.g. users or lists of defined objects.
Thank you sir!

Latest firmware is R80.20.35 ! If the configuration does not contain many locally defined objects, configuring from scratch is the best way.
Thanks for confirming firmware version brother, appreciated!
It works if you have a 1400, so export from the 1100, import on 1400, then export there and import on 1500. Everything including SIC is preserved, only the Interfaces 6-8 get lost.

From which firmware to which ? Last updated information was sk170162: How to upgrade hardware from R77.20.87 to R80.20.15 or higher and did not include R77.20.80.
Obviously from 77.20.80 to 80.20.35
