Redundant power supply 7000 appliance

Just wonder if one of the two power supplies on a 7000 unit fail or loses incoming AC, the appliance will continue to function with full capacity?

Thanks

You can, BUT, out of caution, I would do it when the box is powered off, just to be on safe side. Below is one good reference for older model:

For sure, it will work, like any device with redundant power supply when one fails.

Yes, should operate as expected provided the AC feeds are diverse of course.

Great thanks, My next question is I have two 7000 in an active/standby cluster. If one of the two power supplies on the active unit loses power, does the standby unit become active?

Definitely should not fail over if the box continues to operate normally if one power supply failed, which in 99% of the time would happen.

Currently the 2 7000s are all on wall AC power without ups. So its a matter of unplugging one of the two power supplies on each 7000 and plug it to the UPS. I can do all this live without service interruption I assume. Just want to plan ahead for any surprise    Thanks again
