RAS VPN 3950 82.10 Build 291 - Wrong value for: Authentication Method

Hello all,

I'm still configuring the 3950, and I'm faced with another problem: the RAS VPN doesn't want to connect. I rechecked a lot of settings, read several topics about this error, but in vain - it does not connect. Could you please tell me what needs to be fixed?

A while ago here was a discussion about an issue with similar error message.

In that case the default VPN cert of the gateway was expired if I remember correctly.

Perhaps you could check that and, if it is only there to rule it out,

I saw this topic, but the funny thing is that before that I had another error: the site didn’t respond. I renewed the certificate — it started responding, but with this error. We found a solution:

No idea why this option would "fix" a "wrong proposal" error.
However, if fwd got restarted in the process, it might have fixed the issue as I recall there is some issue with certificates not getting updated until fwd is restarted.
