Ping with (DUP!) results

Hi all,

I receive replies with (DUP!) errors, ping from CP gateway to server. Kindly let me know what is the possible cause and how to resolve this issue.

CP version: R80.40, A/P cluster

Thanks & Regards

This is not specific to the Checkpoint issue, rather general network issue. You may look any Networkin/Linux questions/forums on this and will get valid possibilities, such as:

  • Loop in the network
  • Duplicate IP addresses on the same network
  • Botched load balancing in the network
  • Faulty host/NIC driver on the host being ping-ed
  • Incorrect cluster state/brain split issue
