End Of Support around the corner (May 2021)
I have a client with two 5200 appliances in HA (redundant) configuration. Running SBS 2011, internal web server and mail server have been published on the same public IP address (1.2.3.4) and same internal IP address (192.168.1.10). Now moving to separate internal servers for web (192.168.1.50) and mail (192.168.1.60). Obviously need separate public IPs for 443 traffic on both. Question: how to configure network interfaces? Existing Internet is on Eth1 port. Trying to add additional Internet IP(1.2.3.5) on port Eth3 results in "1.2.3.5/xx conflicts with destination network of Eth1".
Do I need to add 1.2.3.5 as an alias to port Eth1?
You do not create the IP on the gateway itself on any interface, you only create a NAT entry in the dashboard, preferably an automatic NAT, which will also take care of your Proxy ARP.
