That method works if using central licensing, and can be useful if communications between the firewall and management server are broken.
'netstat -an | grep 18192' works if the firewall and management server are able to communicate, regardless of license status.
$FWDIR/conf/masters has the name of the management server in it, and I think that name gets added to /etc/hosts, so that may work regardless of license or connection status. I only have a standalone handy at the moment, so I'm not absolutely sure on this one.
