NTP Issue After Patching to Take 65

 

Just in case anyone hits this, we have had several customer gateways lose NTP SYNC after patching to take 65.

The NTP gets stuck in INIT and a packet capture show two-way communication with the NTP source.

In all cases the public NTP server pool was used.

Switching NTP to the Check Point NTP servers it suddenly starts working. 

Thus far this has occurred at random with only one GW per customer.

I had 2 customer install that take, no issues, using public ntp.
