MTA - SMTP multiple ports
Hello Checkmates,
sk142932 shows "How to configure Mail Transfer Agent's (MTA) incoming and outgoing SMTP ports" it is very useful as many servers work with SMTP/TLS port 465. My question is if it is supported to have both ports 25 and 465 enabled for SMTP incoming traffic. If it is supported, port 25 should alse be defined at postfix_outgoing_smtp_port file? or is it implied? Thanks in advence.

That looks like it speaks to the port used for outgoing connections not incoming connections.

So, after consulting TAC, officially it is not supported to use two ports simultaneously for SMTP traffic in MTA.
