Is there any limit of concurrent connections per cpu core ???

Hello

I'm confused in CPU Core limits for concurrent connection.

I have increased the concurrent connections from 15000 to 50000. Still seeing a degradation in the service.

Environment: VSX running in Cluster

Is there any limit of concurrent connections per each cpu core? There is only one core allocated by default. Shall I increase it?

How can I see how many physical cpu?

How can I see allocated and free core per VSX blade?

Regards,

B

Too many details are missing to answer your question properly. Let's start with the basics.

What versions of software and HW are you running?

Depends of the platform and OS, mix of blades, HTTPS Inspection, Log depth, NIC, bandwidth usage and likely other factors.

You can add cores in the Smart Console with outage to the VS.

To see the allocated CPU, use CPVIEW in the correct context. - vsenv X from Expert mode, then cpview.

Check for clues in Spike Detective and system log files.

Familiarize yourself also with the hcp tool which can give you a lot of recommendations.

Number of concurrent connections is not a function of the number of cores, it's a function of the amount of memory.
You probably need to allocate more cores to the VS.
