IPS threat extraction and content awareness available but not active

Successful upgrade of checkpoint firewall from r80.10 to r80.40 with IPS license fully kicked in. The smart console shows the threat extraction and content awareness components are available but not active. Does this mean the threat extraction and content awareness blades need to be purchased separately for it to be activated or it comes free with IPS?

It does not sadly come with IPS and those are 2 totally separate blades.

As long as it says "Available" on the License screen you have a license for the Content Awareness & Threat Extraction blades, but the features are not enabled on the gateway object.
