HP DL360 Gen 10

Hi,

We are truing to install release R81.10 on a HP DL360 Gen 10.

The problem is that it get an error when starting to identify the disks.

This server is on the HCL, but with a differente Disk Controller.

In our case we have HPE MR416i-a

We know that we should use a supported controller, but using a different controller would be enough cause to not even find any disks?

Regards

Likely it requires a driver other than that which we have as part of GAiA today with R81.10.

You could try R81.20 instead as a test or speak to your local SE to raise an RFE for the necessary development / testing / certification etc (will take time).

All HW should be compliant with the HCL. In your case, it sounds like a non-supported configuration. The installation package does not see the hard drives.

All components used in the Open Server must be on the HCL, including the disk controller.
Requests for additions to the HCL need to be taken with your local Check Point office.

Having said this, R81.20 has a newer Linux kernel with different drivers and a newer installer which may work.
However, it won’t be formally supported unless it’s on the HCL.
