Gmail is not working recently

Hi All

Hi everyone,

We have a checkpoint r81.10 security gateway, and recently Gmail has not been working for some workstations. We haven't pushed any new policies, but Gmail is still malfunctioning. Can you advise what we should check to troubleshoot the issue?

That's an error from Google.

Do you have HTTPS Inspection enabled on the firewall? Do you have the firewall's certificate authority trusted on the workstations in question?

We have attempted both enabling and disabling HTTPS inspection for the specific clients, as well as adding the firewall's  certificate authority on the workstations. However the issue still persists.

When HTTPS Inspection is off for the connection, the firewall can't see into or manipulate the contents of the connection. The only thing the firewall could do is cause the connection to fail entirely such that the browser wouldn't show an error page at all. This strongly suggests it isn't a firewall problem but is instead a Gmail problem.

Without knowing how you are allowing access to gmail (what rules) and what blades are active (enabled_blades from the CLI of the gateway), it's hard to say what's causing it.
Even providing the actual URL that Google gave you a 400 error on might be helpful to understand what is happening.

Nothing that can modify the page content (since it's HTTPS).
Can you at least provide a screenshot of the error showing the URL accessed?

Does this work in any browser or are you only trying with a specific one?
