Error 00351 - SMB Appliance

Hi Guys,

 

I received the attached error on my Quantum 1530 spark appliance. I did go through few other posts in the forum and don't see a resolution at all which is a shame given the number of people who have reported this.

fixes that did not work

1. RE-initialize internal cert failed

3. apparently fixed in version R80.20.20, but I am already at 20.40

4. configuration duplication : couldn't find any in my configs.

 

Appreciate any directions here. The device is not able to install any updates at all.

Has the device been reset to factory defaults or reflashed via USB and restored from a backup?

Failing the above please work the issue with TAC to determine a solution or RMA if needed.

Thanks for the reply Chris,

My concern would be what prompted it and what can I do to avoid it. Yes, I haven't factory reset yet but looks like HW related if thats the fix and warrants a RMA as perm fix.

Bigger worry is, a partner is considering deploying this across 20 smaller sites. wouldn't wanna go through the flash or RMA pain for them.

I feel your frustration about it, but unfortunately, those things happen...we can only hope its one bad appliance.
