CPAC-2-40F-C not sold anymore?

Helloes.

Might as well throw another question in here. We're looking to replace our network infrastructure. The new core switches will have 40G-uplink, so I was looking to add another interface card to our checkpoint gateways.

I've seen previously that there was a 40G plug-in card, the CPAC-2-40F-C. It's also mentioned in sk92755.

But looking in the appliance accessory guide and in the datasheet for 7000 appliances, there's just CPAC-2-40/100F-C as an option. Since it occupies both slots it will make the future troublesome, as I won't be able to keep the current SFP+-card.

Isn't the 1-slot 40G-card available anymore? Is there a reason to why?

The CPAC-2-40F-C & CPAC-2-100/25F were discontinued due to issues with the NIC providers.  If I recall the replacement for it are the Dual-width SmartNIC used on the QLS appliances.

For the life of me I can't find the CP announcement now.

well, that sadly limits my options. Especially since the ports cannot be split and only supports 40 and 100G speeds. It is what it is, i guess.
