The SMP (Security Management Portal)
The SMP (Security Management Portal) is a web-based management solution for easily managing SMB security appliances.
It allows the user to configure, monitor and provide services to thousands of SMB customers.
Our primary SMP site is located in Europe (Germany), and backup sites with data replication in US & Israel.
Most services are used primarily in one data center, but have secondary instances with a copy of the data in other data centers. In cases of downtime or lengthy maintenance, we switch to a secondary site. These data centers are fully managed by Check Point, just like other Check Point cloud.
General sizing numbers for SMP:
- The SMP can manage up to 20K gateways.
- Up to 5K gateways in a single service domain.
- An Additional log server (physical or virtual) should be added for every 2K gateways.
The SMP management works seamlessly with our Zero Touch service
If there is a requirement to support a larger number of gateways, please contact Check Point Solution Center.

Yes, and I believe it's included in the price with current Quantum Spark models.

The SK in question is related to an "Old Product" and can still be read by Check Point employees.
Not sure if TAC can provide the documentation or not, but it can't hurt to ask.
See also your local Check Point office.

I still have copies as PDF, but there is not much use as we now have the SMP cloud portal...
