CheckMates Go:
Maestro Madness
Is there any application or documentation to perform a correct sizing for SMB (700/1400) appliances???
previously the "Check Point Sizing Tool" allowed to do this in a simple way with the smb appliances, but not anymore. (imo Big mistake by CP for the partners).
You found more informations in the 1400 appliace datasheet here:
1400 security gateway datasheet
Screenshot from datasheet:
Get 1490. It is the only one that may actually work with all blades enabled.
However, you have to be careful with marketing, since the license for the 1490 appliance appears as aaaa-bbb-NGTX-ccc and gives the impression that it includes Threat Extraction, until you go deeper into the documentation and give yourself note that this is not the case, it is NGTP + Threat emulation.
I do not understand why checkpoint in the technical documentation if it has well defined when it talks about threat emulation (TE) and when it talks about extraction (TX), but in the commercial documentation it makes it confusing.
Hello Heiko, how many users do you could support each device, there are a new family 1500, with new hardware.
Forget the number of users - it is what they do that counts 8) ! But we have the Appliance Sizing Tool that gives us estimated user numbers - and the datasheet lists more:
