I have the EA running on a 1600, but the documentation and SK only mentions the new models (as replacements for the older ones). According to https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/support-life-cycle-policy/ it is only for 2530 to 2580 appliances, but also the not replaced SMBs (2000, 1900) are only listed with R81.10.xx version supported. As support for the oldest models (1530, 1550, 1570, 1590) only ends in 2030 i would bet that R82.00.xx will be running on all 15xx, 1600, 1800, 1900 and 2000. But the new models will not run under R81.00.xx...

AH OK so it is about the existing ones - will it be an inplace upgrade or does it require a flash upgrade?
