Creating VLANs

I need to setup several VLANs on my Quantum Spark 1570 Appliance.

I found where I can create the VLANs on the Device >> Local Network page. I don't see how to get them applied to the LAN1 port so that the traffic is trunked to the downstream VLAN aware devices.

What am I missing?

By default all LAN ports are attached to a switch (LAN1 Switch).
To allow LAN1 to be used for VLAN trunking, it must be removed from the switch.
Then you can create a new VLAN and assign it to the relevant port.
I'm using LAN6 here, but you get the idea:

Hey mate,

Phoneboy is absolutely correct. I remember working with customer for this on remote session through TAC and they had us do exact same thing. I seem to recall this was also how it worked with Fortigate firewalls at some point, not sure if its same these days, but probably is for those smb type of firewalls.

Have a nice weekend!

Best,
Andy

That did the trick. I have to admit that I didn't see anything like that mentioned in any of the documents for the firewall.

Thanks.

It can be easy to miss, for sure, not a big deal brother.
