Hi!
Is there any way to configure Two ISP Links in the checkpoint 1550 appliance and need to configure WAN Links as Active Passive.
Thanks,
Locally managed appliance?
Yes this is possible, you have the choice of this or load-balanced based on weight.
Please refer to the admin guide for your version for more information.
yes, it's locally manage one,
Version means the OS version right?
Correct for example R80.20.50 or R81.10.00 etc
Got it, there are some gray areas in the configuration, when we create a bond interface and select operation mood to High Availability, we have to mention the master interface and the IP address. But I didn't get any place to mention the slave interface IP address. and another thing is when we configure a bond like that do we have to manually add the default route for the bother ISP connections or does the firewall automatically get the route?
Screenshot attached.
A bond is a single logical interface with one IP address. This is not the same as the WAN/Internet link redundancy option I was discussing above.
I will link the documentation here shortly for your reference.
Thank you @Chris_Atkinson , yes in my scenario I have two separate ISP connections with different vendors
Basically the option for High Availability or load-balancing will appear once you've configured the second link.
The Device > Internet page shows how the appliance connects to the internet.
On this page you can:
Configure a single internet connection or multiple connections in High Availability or Load Balancing configurations. When multiple internet connections are defined, the page shows them in a table.
Will shortly share a screenshot from an appliance I have access to for your reference.
Thank you @Chris_Atkinson appreciate your help!
