How to install and configure access to Checkpoint VPN Client in current versions of Ubuntu.
The previously available methods only work in versions prior to Ubuntu 22.04. And then previous methods stopped working.
Details: This method doesn't work anymore: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk116576
The most current information on supported OS releases for SNX is here: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/SSL_Network_Extender_AdminGuide/Content/Topics-SNX-Admin-Guide/...
Build 80008407 (available with recent JHF) supports Ubuntu 23.10.
Versions above 22.04 are not supported per: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk65210#Linux%20Supported%20Platforms
And what is the proposed solution? From small offices we have a S2S IPSec tunnel but if the Ubuntu clients are travelling they need something...
My current solution is to connect Ubuntu 2404 clients via Harmony SASE to the perimeter81 SD-WAN and then have a tunnel from there to my on premise CheckPoint gateway. The current Harmony SASE client works with Ubuntu 2404. Hope this helps temporarily.
If you have Harmony SASE, that's definitely an option.
Do you support Ubuntu > 22.04 (asking 4 months after initial reply).

Older snx version only supports up to that one, newer one, up to 23.10

When supports 24.04?
No support for Ubuntu is really frustrating. I see some of these forum posts getting 5000 viewers on the topic and Checkpoint refuses to offer clear support for linux users.
Please open an RFE for this, thanks.
SK Phoneboy gave definitely confirms its not supported.
Best,
Andy
