1575 Check For FIrmware Update Failing

Hi.  I have a Spark 1575 & am experiencing failure when the appliance checks for firmware updates.  The appliance current firmware is R81.10.10 (996002993).  The failures occur either when it automatically checks or I select the link to force it to check after which it reports "Could not connect to Check Point Upgrade Service."  All of this worked without a hitch for most of what I remember up until our ISP decided to install new hardware / software on their equipment which closed incoming ports 80 & 443.  Didn't think this would be an issue as the AV, IPS & other updates still function fine.  Ideas?

Installing the 81.10.17 firmware upgrade set everything back working again.  After getting my 2FA straightened out with CP Account Services, getting to download the upgrade & the subsequent remedy was a relief.

Blocking incoming port 80/443 should not impact your devices ability to connect to the Upgrade Service.
I suspect the issue lie elsewhere.

I've done some of the basic things...disabling the different services, disabling all services but still no work.  Is there a way to tell if the actual CP upgrade service is actually working?

I don't believe it's a general issue as my device appears to be seeing the update service just fine.

One of the first places I went to see if doing a manual upgrade would correct the issue.  Unfortunately, my 2FA is not being accepted any longer so am trying to contact account services at CP to have them reset it.  Not sure what has changed, it worked fine the last time I used it to download a firmware update.

Did you open TAC case?

I tried but the 2FA verification prevents me from completing the request.  I called instead, opened a case yesterday & was referred to call account services which I did but got too late waiting on hold (> 1 hour) & had to go crash for the night.  Just finished with account services who got me all squared away.

In the spirit of community, if you could please let us know how it gets solved, would be great.

As soon as I am able to apply the firmware update, I will post back whether the firmware update solved the automatic updating not connecting to the update service.
