Gateway Interface configuration for SD-WAN

Hi all,

I'm having a try with the SD-WAN setup on a cluster of 6200s which I have upgraded to R81.20 (along with the management server).

I've successfully done the Infinity Portal and management server (console) link, and that's all working as per the documentation. (See capture.jpg)

I'm now at the point of configuring the gateways. Page 44 of the Quantum SD-WAN Admin guide. Item 1. sub-item c. says, 'Configure the applicable interfaces that you plan to use for SD-WAN. Logically these will be the two ISPs and any additional 'egress interfaces' from the network. Not a problem, I have the right interfaces in mind.

sub-item d. says, 'In the section SD-WAN Interfaces, click Add'

This is where I have become stuck. There is no such section. See the Interfaces.jpg for what I can see. What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance for any help!

John

R81.20 on gateways is not yet supported for SD-WAN.
As documented in sk180605 you need to install a SD-WAN enabled side-branch of R81.10 on your gateways to make it work.

Ah, I see - thank you for that.

It's what I get for not digging deeper before starting. I just printed the admin guide and started following it.

I see that statement now in that SK article. I unwisely made the assumption that R81.10 needed a certain Jumbo but that R80.20 would be there in full. That is of course the case for the management server (where I got that impression), but not for the gateway.

I'll wait until a GA R80.20 jumbo has the SD-WAN. It a bit too bleeding edge for me really. I was just very excited to try it.

I hope you mean R81.20, not R80.20, which is obsolete for a while now.
