Hi all,
I'm trying to setup a remote access using l2tp ipsec on windows mobile 6.5 device.
The ipsec comes up but disconnects immediately.
The kernel debug shows the following error :
[--- VPN-1: vpn_decrypt_chain: NAT Traversal encapsulated packet: id = 7afb6a, conn - dir 0, 77.77.77.77:64838 -> 212.212.212.212:4500 IPP 17 ---];
;12Feb2019 18:24:30.645032;[vs_4];[tid_0];[fw4_0];vpn_get_packet_for_decrypt: Paket too short (29), the minimum is 32 ;
;12Feb2019 18:24:30.645033;[vs_4];[tid_0];[fw4_0];VPN-1: vpn_decrypt_chain: failed to get packet data;
The device type and OS cannot be changed, so I'm wondering if anyone is still using l2tp ipsec for remote access, as there is no vpn software available for windows mobile/embedded 6.5.
The gateway is a vsx cluster running r80.10 jhf take 103, but it looks like the issue is easily reproduced.
any idea ?
thanks.
Windows Mobile 6.5 is definitely a bit long in the tooth
That said, we used to have a VPN client for Windows Mobile.
I believe this is the last version of it: SecureClient Mobile NGX R66 for Windows Mobile 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1(Cabinet file)
Unsupported, of course, but maybe it will work?
Hello,
The cab can be installed on my windows mobile VM but doesn't start, so I didn't test it on the physical one.
Thanks for the answer anyway.
Hi all,
The client seems to run fine on the pda device, I just need some more time for testing.
