Hi, lately I'm having a very annoying problem with the mobile checkpoint vpn that I installed on my laptop, basically I get to 47% during the connection phase and then it stops without any error message. These are the tests I did to try to understand how to solve it:
1) Checked the Checkpoint VPN service, the service is running, it restarts without problems.
2) Checked the local firewall and the antivirus (both disabled but the connection still does not occur)
3) Checked the DNS
4) Checked the authentication and certificates
5) Disabled the virtual VPN adapter and re-enabled it
6) Restarted the network services
7) Updated the Checkpoint client
what else i can check ? Is there a specific log file i have to debug ? The technician of my isp told me to format my laptop to resolve. Other people with different laptops has no problem connecting with the same vpn.
Hi @marcosalvi
Few questions...
-what client version is it?
-what about gateway itself?
-are other people having the same issue?
-when did the problem start?
You can get client logs from site properties options or if you right click on the client itself (I believe). Also, on the gw, you can do below:
vpn debug trunc
vpn debug ikeon
-try connect
vpn debug off
turn off all debugs:
fw ctl debug -x
fw ctl debug 0
Get vpnd and ike files from $FWDIR/log dir

Just enable below to get client logs, you can change to advanced instead of basic if you like.

Sorry for the extreme delay.... some answer :
- client version 98.61.5506
- gateway we don't know is managed by our isp
- Other people don't have any issue (this is the reason why our isp has said to format the machine to resolve)
- We don't know the exact moment but probably after a windows update ?
I tried to collect logs and this is the result files .... i have attached trac.log, do i miss something ? Thanks
Appropriate debugs need to be taken on the gateway side to understand what’s going on here.
Can you try to connect with a different Internet connection? (For example, a WiFi at a local coffee shop or tethering with your mobile phone.)
Possible it's something related to CGNAT with your ISP.
I've tryed different internet connection and hotspot with cellular data but nothings change.
