SNX Client Linux AES-256

Hi,

I hope someone of you can answer me that question. Some of my colleagues would like to use Linux as their operating system. Unfortunately I noticed that the SNX client only uses 3DES or even worse RC4 for encryption.

I have already searched in this forum for this topic and read some posts about it, but I still have the following question:

If I understand sk112314 right  it should be possible to force the SNX to use AES-256, but why does this only work on SMB appliances? What about normal Gateways

(By the way, we are using a 4400 Appliance Cluster on version R88.10)

Is there a better or different alternative for Linux Clients?

THX

Rene

It also doesn't work for Linux clients either, according to internal notes in the SK.

The only other VPN client that may work on Linux is L2TP, which I believe is built into most distros.
