Hello,
We need to restrict access for a small portion of users, so we would not like to change the implementation as a whole.
We were thinking to bind the mac addresses with a specific IP pool for these remote access users, is there any way to do that from ipassignment.conf?
On the office mode, there is the option for mac address for dhcp allocaton, but then it will be applicable for all users..
Any ideas? 😄 also if you like to suggest any other secure ways that could be implemented, please feel free!
No - sk33422 explains ipassignment.conf configuration that is applicable to special users only. By listing user names and the fixed OM IP for this user you need not rely on a MAC that changes per used network hardware...
