Basic configuration steps to publish a web application on HTTPS Remote Access Portal

This 4 minute video provides an overview configuring the HTTPS Remote Access Portal (Mobile Access Blade) on Check Point Security Gateways to publish web based applications.

Keep in mind that HTTPS Remote Access Portal based solutions are intended for short term sessions allowing nomadic users 'to check something quickly on the central application'. For long term remote access you want for sure look into IPSec VPN Remote Access Solutions.

The authentication is based on username/password to keep the scenario simple.

There are some troubleshooting tips related to DNS settings and relevant web application object configurations.

Enjoy 😀

Nice video.

One critically missing piece of information is you need to enable the Mobile Access blade in your network policy layer.
Failing to do so, you won't be able to find/use a Web Application (or other Mobile Application types) in a security rule's Services & Applications column.

Make sure the server mentioned in the Mobile application object is actually reachable from the firewall.

Thanks. I have already found out that there are several problems:
1) this is the role itself, I used the old one where it was specified to be, but it is not assigned to the client on the portal before connecting.
2) there are applications that work quite specific and require the selection of parameters or the participation of the application developer.
