BC Authentication option in the client

Hi ,

 Can some one to help me to understand what is the BC authentication method stands in RA VPN clients software ?

From R80.10, gateways can require multiple forms of authentication. The BC is “backward compatibility” and can be specified for older gateways, I believe.
