Application policy settings enable dashboard administrators to set security policies on risky apps based on classification.
Risky apps are apps that may expose sensitive data or exhibit behaviors that pose a security risk to organizations if they are not used in a secure manner, such as changing the default policy for apps classified as Backup Tools from Low to No Risk.
The risk levels that can be applied to the app classifications are:
- High (Device Alert) – This risk level will record a High dashboard event and device will alert the user.
- Medium (Device Alert) – This risk level will record a Medium dashboard event and device will alert the user.
- Medium (Dismissive Device Alert) – This risk level will record a Medium dashboard event and device will alert the user with an alert that user can dismiss.
- Low – This risk level will record a Low dashboard event.
- No Risk – This risk level will not record dashboard event.
To configure, navigate to Settings > Policy Settings > Application. Click "Save" after making any changes.
