planning to upgrade to R81.20

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade from R81.10 to R81.20.

/var/log is mostly complete, and we cannot export snapshots.

Previously, we were on R80.40.

I see there are below folders in opt/ directory:

CPSmartLog-R80.40

CPcvpn-R80.40

CPrt-R80.40

Cpshrd-R80.40

CPsuite-R80.40

Can we remove these folders, as we are no longer on R80.40? The device is a standalone box. Will removing these folders will not corrupt the files and cause issues?

Hi @an_technical

I suppose that the var/log/CPda/repository consumes a lot of space too.

Have you deleted some old logs from the $FWDIR/log?

Here is an answer from earier:

And my private opinion:

I always do the holly triumvirate

  • system backup -> copy to a safe place -> after the copy I ALWAYS compare the MD5sum -> this can be only 100% safe
  • save configuration -> copy to a safe place
  • snapshot
    • but I usually I don't export it
      • takes a lot of space and time.
