log_export MDS R77.30

HI all,

trying to configure log_export  on my R77.30 mds 

using this command 

cp_log_export set name <name> domain-server mds target-server <VIP> target-port 514 protocol udp format syslog

receive a message that "Export settings for <name> has been created successfully 

To apply the changes run: cp_log_export restart name <name> domain-server MDS"

but under the cp_log_expert show command

don't see the MDS in the list only log_export that I was configured to the CMA domain

I verify that take 36 is install and for the CMA its working

saw that this path is created for the MDS

./opt/CPsuite-R77/fw1/log_exporter/targets/<name>/conf/SyslogFormatDefinition.xml

Log Exporter only runs at the CMA level, not the MDS level.
Also, R77.30 is End of Support.

i see in R80 and above version the Log Exporter for mds is supported and we can see it under cp_Log_Exporter show command and its works as expected 

so only for R77.30  it is not supported for mds ?

I don't know if this was supported functionality under R77.30 or not.
Regardless, R77.30 has End of Support for over three years now. 
Refer to our Support Life Cycle Policy page.
You can try a TAC case to see if they have encountered this issue for a different customer and have a hotfix already prepared that is compatible with your environment.
Otherwise, your only option is to upgrade.

@PhoneBoy is 100% right, its definitely only CMA level. Good old R77.30, but definitely not supported since even before Covid, haha.
