/dev/sda1 function - Delete some files, what is the impact?

Hi Checkmates,

Currently im facing high disk space usage but only on 1 folder which is /dev/sda1.

[Expert@XXXX]# df -h
Filesystem            Size  Used  Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1             0.25G 0.24G 0.07G  88% /boot

 If i can remember correctly, when i installed smart-1 6000L i was not changing anything related to the disk spaces.

Before i delete some files on that filesystem, may i know what is the main purpose of /dev/sda1? Is there any impact if i mistakenly deletes some files?
