Hi,
I am not able to connect to the management server from outside of the VM where it is running, can anyone let me know what settings I should change to access from anywhere outside the VM.
Thanks!
Check your VM network settings, something is wrong there.
Thanks, now that I am able to ping the management server, but I am not able to access the API using the management server address outside the VM, but it is working inside the VM. Is there anything specific settings to access
I am using Management server IP and port to access the api.
https://<mgmt-server>:<port>/web_api/login
error: curl: (7) Failed to connect to 172.16.14.85 port 443: Connection refused
What does 'api status' tell you?
api status shows as up and running.
Did you set API clients correctly?
I have allowed all IP addresses access to the api and published it.
is there any other settings you are referring to?
Is it a standalone machine or management only and how is the policy configured / what do you see in the logs?
It is standalone deployment
And policy I have configured to allow any connection
Is there anything that I am missing out to access the API from anywhere outside the VM.
What are your VM parameters: RAM, CPUs, HDD size?
RAM- 12GB
CPU-2
HDD - 160GB
On the standalone, you want to have 16 GB RAm and 4 cores. Try to change the VM parameters and let us know if it helped.
ok, thanks!
Also just wanted to know if the VM configuration affect the access of API?
as the API commands works well inside the system where the VM is installed.
We are unable to get Data from Checkpoint server through API from other systems which are in the same LAN network
Just a silly thing to check but you mention VM. Could this be NSX blocking traffic?
