Dear Team,

We have two checkpoint devices - Not get exact model number may be 5K series appliance .

There is no Dedicated MGMT device or VM

So we need to do below

2. Firewall Rules normal through port blocking - Not Application and URL Filtering required as of now

3. ISP Redundancy

client does not have license so is it possible ?

and I want to know also HA Part how can we achieve ?

Looking for this suggestion

Regards,

Harmesh Yadav

Some more information is needed, do these appliances have SSD?

As a general rule each member will require a license for production use and support.

Without a license, you are not allowed to download CP software. With only local management, you would also end up with Full Management HA which often is called the worst possible CP deployment 😎.

So the best is to contact your CP partner and buy a VM SMS License as well as support and services for the GW nodes....

If the appliances are entirely unlicensed you won’t even be able to run the software.
Most modern Check Point appliances should be able to do clustering, basic firewall, ISP Redundancy, and local management (including a “Full HA” config) without an active subscription.
However, older models with SSD will not support local management (thus no “Full HA” support).

Highly recommend considering external management here, possibly using Smart-1 Cloud.

I‘ll hope that some day no one from CheckPoint suggest the use of „ Full Management HA“. This solution should be removed from all documentations and selling tools.

I really agree with  @G_W_Albrechtnever use this painfull solution !

Not sure we actively recommend this solution, though we do document it exists and it is still  supported.
Anyone in that situation should really look at Smart-1 Cloud instead.

This is a marketing, not a technical question and based on licensing costs - most Appliances do include Management Licenses 🤔
