SmartEvent Database Migration from Smart-1 25 to Smart-1 225

Hello there Checkmates,

I kindly request your advise and assistance.

I am planning on upgrading our  current dedicated SmartEvent / SmartReporter Server from Smart-1 25 to Smart-1 225. Both running on R77.30. However, I would like to migrate the events database as well. I have looked at the backup/restore sk108902, but it suggests that the appliances have to be of a similar model.

I would greatly appreciate any and all pointer and/or advice that will guide me to perform the upgrade and database migration.

This is more relevant/important on Security Gateways versus management, where the underlying hardware is less important.

That said, why not upgrade to R80.20 already?
