SmartConsole and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010

Hello,

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable is not supported by Microsoft any more (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist) and our customer has a policy of automatic removal of that package from all of their PCs, so the Smart Console stops working every few days and needs reinstall. Is there a way to use Smart Console without it? What is the timeline to migrate to more recent and supported version?

Thank you

As part of installing SmartConsole, we install the required libraries (.NET and Visual C++).
For portable versions, they must be manually installed and you can see the versions here https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk116158

SmartConsole is tied to underlying version of security management .
The fact you're saying 2010 is required here suggests your customer is running an End of Support version of Check Point and should upgrade to a supported release.
