Smart Event
We are using Smart Event in our company. and we are considering upgrading to R80.
How will SmartEvent be integrated into R80?
Will it be part of R80? How?

SmartEvent has the versatility to work both with R80 Management and with R7X.
If you want to use it with R7x management it requires you upgrade and deploy your SmartEvent to R80 on a separate box than the management.
If your management is R80 you can run SmartEvent ether on the management machine or on a distributed machine.

SmartEvent R80 is an integral part of R80 management server installation. It can also reside on a dedicated server.
If you have an existing SmartEvent R77.x, you can upgrade its event database to SmartEvent R80 by following an export/import procedure. This procedure will be published once R80 is officially released.
