Smart Event and Learning Mode?

In the process of migrating to a new FW cluster/mgmt and copying over exclusions, triggers, etc.  I noticed in some of our existing events they have an object type of 'Learning Mode'.  I was going to let the new system learn and only move the hard-coded exclusions over.

My question is where do I get more information on Learning Mode and how it works?  I found some very outdated articles/posts but nothing very recent.  In the help topics in Smart Event it has a Learning Mode section that makes it sound like there should be a menu item under Actions, but there isn't.  Is this a deprecated feature?

For SmartEvent, Learning Mode was deprecated in R77.20.
