Repurpose Smart 6000 XL from SmartEvent to MDS server

We currently have a Smart-1 6000-XL base SmartEvent appliance and we don't need the Log Correlation unit anymore ( due to other products selected).

But as we still have support and services for this appliance for the next 3 years, i wanted to check (ofcourse with purchase of a possible license or two) if we can repurpose this server to an MDS acceptance environment where we can test our use cases and test upgrades. 

Does anyone know if this is possible and what we need to purchase to do this? The SKU for this machine is CPAP-NGSM6000XL-BASE-EVNT. Other than the license and 6x1 tb instead of 6x4 tb disks i don't really see the difference.

In the past, you've been able to do this by re-SKUing the appliance.
That assumes there's no hardware differences and requires paying the difference in price.
Check with your local Check Point office.

Im fairly sure you can do so, mind you, as Phoneboy said, not sure how license would function, though Im certain with eval one, there should be no issue.
