Remove a Secondary SMS (High Availability)
Hello. I have a R81.20 environment with a HA Setup for SMS. I would like to remove the Secondary system completely and only have the primary SMS. Is there a simple way to do this? I am thinking I uncheck logging and status, push policy and then uncheck network policy management, push again and then remove the secondary object. Make sense? Seems all the documentation is how to create and use SMS HA but not have to tear it down. Thanks

I would consider the following steps:
1| Make sure to have a backup of the Primary Management Server (snapshot from Gaia Portal or through VM).
2| Delete the Secondary Management Server object
3| Install Database (from Menu)
4| Verify the Secondary object is no longer a target for Logs by Security Gateways

See if this helps, but your logic sounds right to me.

Thanks for the replies. This is not a multi-domain system so would the same steps apply?
